The Death Rooms Of Queen Victoria And Prince Albert
The Death Rooms Of Queen Victoria And Prince Albert
Prince Albert
She ordered Albert’s dressing gown and fresh clothes to be laid out every evening and a jug of steaming hot water to be placed on his washstand. Between the two beds in the room, a marble bust of him was placed, with his portrait hung above it, adorned with evergreens. Almost daily, fresh flowers were strewn beneath it on the pillows. The glass from which he had taken his last dose of medicine was kept on the table beside it, remaining there for more than forty years. His writing table was left with his blotting book open and his pen resting upon it, as if waiting for him to use it. Guests at Windsor were required to sign his...

    Queen Mary not only safe guarded the monarchy, she's also the reason the monarchs have such an incredible collection of jewelry. When the Russian revolution occurred, many of the aristocracy, AND the new communist government, sold off their spectacular jewelry at rock bottom prices. Queen Mary snatched them up promptly. So much of the royal collection is directly tied into much of the history of Europe. She was a grand ole Dame whom Queen Elizabeth used as her role model, and she was ardent student!

    At 0:43 you mention that typhoid fever is now known as Crohn's. This is not true. Typhoid fever also known as enteric fever is caused by salmonella bacteria. As with Crohn's, they aren't sure what causes it, but it could be a virus or bacteria, also it is common among people who have family members with it, pointing to a genetic link.

    Born into any royal family back then...maybe even today too...is a curse more than anything else. Arranged marriages, mostly to their own cousins, women were imprisoned or separated from their kids. So these kings could prove something. George the 1st was one of the worst. He should never have been king of anything and couldn't even speak English. I swear, the more I read about the history of them, the more I see where today's horror stories originate from.

    • @katherinehutton9870
      @katherinehutton9870 6 дней назад

      It could also be part of a habit that she has from early photograph techniques. They always had you pose not smiling cause you have to hold it for several minutes. If you look at old photos in the mid to end of 1800s everyone poses like that. It was just too hard to keep a smile and always make sure you're in a comfortable position because if you moved it blurred the photograph. This continue in to the early 1900s out of habit. Even as photography became better people still held on to this just because that's the way all pictures were taken for so long.

    My great grandfather times 5 abandoned those terrible times. They were horrid people and misinformation about them favoring them spread across the world. Many starved and froze to death in the street's. Thankfully lies are hard to cover. And you can easily look at the head stones of the people and slowly expose the truth of their time. These were greedy nasty rulers who did not care. The truth about history is covered up by lies, and glorifying them by people who are very comfortable about lying. They were terrible people and anyone glorifying them are just as bad. Go look at the headstones in that time frame, look up the common people skip the one's who wore grand clothes. Lots of people who survived and fled wrote of their horror. Sold themselves to ship yards. Very YOUNG children were forced into work houses never seeing their families. Sleeping in door jams. Many people who visited wrote about it.
